Social media survival … what to do if things change; and they DO!

5 years ago we started working with a client. We did a strategy session and looked at everything he was busy with. He has a BIG Facebook following. At that stage over 50 000 (today it is almost 90 000).

In the session I suggested to convert paid traffic to owned traffic.

What does that mean? You see, Facebook; Google; Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and the rest don’t care. They are making business decisions for what works for them. You do the same.

If Facebook decides to delete your Facebook page (including your 90 000 followers) you have no leg to stand on.

If they change the way they operate you have to accept their terms. This means; ALL the time; money invested is gone.

Do not let this happen to you. So what must you do?

Convert paid traffic to owned traffic!

  • After the session we helped the client do exactly that. His database grew from 3000 to over 9000 in less than 12 months!
  • Another client has built a database of 2500 potential clients in less than a year.
  • Or how about this; 1200 prospects, worth around R48 000 000 in potential sales at an average value of R40 000 per sale.
