Do you have marketing and sales problems?

Is there a problem with your marketing and sales? A recent survey shows that slow cash flow in a business is the #1 stressor for most business owners.

This flow is impacted by many factors. You can not always pin it down to just one thing. It is the combination of things that make it work; or stops the flow.

I use 4 basic pillars when looking at a business. These are:
– Traffic: do you have enough people seeing your “advertisements”?
– Leads: are there people making contact?
– Quotes: are you giving people prices?
– Invoice: are people paying you?

For each there are a lot of things you can do. Make it better and faster. Start with the basics. Define what must be done and check if it is done.

Most businesses NEVER stop and explore in detail what is happening at each level.

Marketing has evolved into a octopus with hundreds of tentacles. 20 years ago you had limited options. Limited measures. Today; you are bombarded daily with information and options.

We did a research study in 1998. It involved a group of researches travelling South Africa with questionnaires. We did 1000 interviews. It took 8 weeks and cost R150 000. Today you are able to do it in a day for a lot less and get better information.

If you had to research market trends it was hard work back in the 90’s. You needed data from Stats SA (which was months or years old). This week I looked at trends in a market for a client. It took less than 5 minutes and the data is fresh.

Example: Here is the trend for the word marketing

Direct link: Try it out with your own words. You might be surprised at what is trending.
